Trent Rockets have had a mixed start to the 2026 Hundred, winning their first game against Birmingham Phoenix at Edgbaston before losing to a London Spirit side that had a familiar feel to many of the Trent Bridge faithful.
Friday against Birmingham Phoenix could not have gone better for the Rockets as they looked to change the fortunes that have seen them only qualify for the knockout stages once.
Sam Bates settled in with a Player of the Match performance of 3 for 10 as Georgia Elwiss backed her up with three wickets of her own as Phoenix crumbled to 64 all out before a Sophia Dunkley charge of 43 from 17 balls saw the Trent Bridge-based team home with 69 balls to spare.
