Trent Rockets Women stroll to Hundred Success

Trent Rockets won the Women’s Hundred by eight wickets after putting in an excellent performance in the field that saw SunRisers Leeds bowled out for just 91.
It wasn’t quite as devastating as the opening-round victory against Birmingham Phoenix, when they won by nine wickets after bowling their hosts out for just 64. What was evident was just how consistent the Rockets have been as a fielding unit.
They figured out early on that Charley Phillips balances the attack after the Aussie duo of Kim Garth and Sam Bates and can get movement with the newish ball.
Garth made the breakthrough today when Bryony Smith, backing away to hit over cover, could not quite clear Nat Sciver-Brunt, who took a catch that others may have messed up on this stage.
