Trent Rockets Women won their last three games, which put them in second place, and, with Southern Brave losing their last game, threw open the race for top spot in the table and potential qualification for the final at Lord’s, or at least the Eliminator two days before at the Kia Oval.
An eight-wicket win against Welsh Fire at Sophia Gardens was followed by another win on the road at Old Trafford, beating Manchester Super Giants by 31 runs.
A return to Trent Bridge produced a closer result, beating SunRisers Leeds by five runs to give the home crowd a rare win.
