Ben Martindale admitted his maiden List A century was tinged with disappointment after Nottinghamshire's Metro Bank One-Day Cup defeat to Kent, insisting the Outlaws were left frustrated to come away empty-handed despite producing a performance that looked capable of securing victory.
Martindale's superb hundred was the standout individual display of the afternoon as he anchored Nottinghamshire's innings of 293-9 with maturity and intent, helping his side post what they believed was a competitive total.
However, Kent's batting line-up ultimately chased it down to win by 5 wickets, leaving the Outlaws reflecting on a game that swung back and forth until the closing stages.
