County Championship Surrey Team Profile

It's not a County Championship season if Surrey are not in the mix for yet another title, they are essentially the cricket equivalent of Manchester City and they make no apologies for it. After losing out to Nottinghamshire last season, they will be chomping at the bit to get their title back!

Surrey will have a chip on their shoulder having lost out to Nottinghamshire in the 2025 County Championship and will be going full pelt to win back their title at the first attempt. The star-studded squad may have some useful additions too in that quest.

Squad Overview

The squad is jam-packed full of star quality and there biggest issue that they will come across is getting legs into all of their players but that is what players do that join Surrey, they know that it is a squad effort and they will all get their chances.

Their batting will likely be bolstered by Ollie Pope coming back into the England ranks after his poor show over the winter and that will be huge for Surrey as we all know he can score big runs and he will be keen to do so to give the selectors a nudge. Rory Burns and Dom Sibley will set them off as usual and a combination of Dan Lawrence, Will Jacks, Ryan Patel and plenty more will get their chances.
