It was always going to be hard to keep a winning streak of eight wins on the bounce going. That proved to be the case for The Blaze at Blackpool against a spirited Lancashire side whose place at the bottom end of the Metro Bank One Day Cup belies the talent they possess and the kind of bowling attack that tends to cause Blaze batters problems.

Having lost the toss, The Blaze were asked to bowl and that seemed to suit the way they have played their best cricket all season.
