The Blaze subdued Yorkshire at Chesterfield, in the blazing hot sun, to consolidate their place at the top of the Metro Bank One Day Cup, led by skipper Marie Kelly's 66, and an enterprising game from youngsters Maria Andrews and Prisha Thanawala.
They got off to a great start after losing the toss and being asked to bowl. Charley Phillips and Charli Knott bowled with control in the powerplay and picked up the important wickets of Lauren Winfield-Hill, Ami Campbell and Jess Jonassen within the first 42 balls of the match, leaving Yorkshire 26 for 3.
While some of Yorkshire's batters made starts, they found it difficult to cut loose, and Maria Andrews maintained the pressure with figures of 10-4-20-2, as she continues to impress in her debut season.
