It was again a far from easy game for The Blaze, but it was Orla Prendergast who stepped up with the bat just when her team needed her. It was going to take something special. She knocked a quickfire 56 from 30 balls, including two sixes.
303 was never going to be an easy chase, but on a good wicket with a stacked batting line-up, it was possible.
The Blaze started steadily, with Marie Kelly top-scoring with 79 and, along with Kathryn Bryce, keeping things steady with a partnership of 74 for the second wicket.
