Lyndon James is going into another season as one of English Domestic Cricket's most valuable all-rounders with his focus fully on playing his part across all formats.
The County Championship is due to get underway on Friday, with Notts beginning the defence of their title with a trip to Taunton to take on Somerset, with James keen to keep moving his game forward in the hopes of International recognition.
He told The Trent that he still harbours those England ambitions but understands the challenge in front of him.
James said "I think my England ambitions will always be there, nothing will change in that regards and having a couple of England Lions calls a few years ago was nice, it felt I was kind of on the radar at the time, though it does feel that i've been off the radar for now.
