The reigning County Champions begin the defence of their title with an away trip to Taunton to take on Somerset with the East Midlands side looking to maintain the air of consistency that saw them take the title for the first time in 15 years last season.
2025 proved to be one of Nottinghamshire's greatest ever seasons, there consistent start put them ahead of the pack and they made Trent Bridge a fortress, going unbeaten at home in the County Championship. Whilst home form was crucial, they were also able to go to The Oval, Chelmsford and Hove and come away with significant wins.
With less than 3 weeks to go until the first Ball is bowled in the 2026 English domestic season, The Trent takes a look at who they think will be in the lineup for Nottinghamshire at the toss on opening day.
